Trend watch: Ruffled Table Linens

Every year brings about new trends in fashion, color, design, patterns, and whatnot. This is especially true for the table linen and home décor industries. Who remembers the ikat craze? The chevron obsession? The mod phase? The list of memories goes on and on! One thing stays true throughout it all though- trends come and go rather quickly. With that being said, I decided to focus on one of the hottest trends in linens and décor at the moment… Ruffles!

It seems that ruffles have made a comeback. I can vividly remember the throw pillows that used to adorn my living room as a young child in the early 90s. They were bright pink with a large ruffled trim. My Mother had them on every couch in the living room as well as my Father’s favorite chair. Our bed skirts also had large ruffled trims. They were everywhere! I even remember seeing ruffled pillows on an episode of The Golden Girls (I’m showing my age here).

Pottery Barn, Crate and Barrel, Hen House Linens, Bed Bath and Beyond, etc. You can find ruffled linens at all the current major retailers now. Napkins have become the frontrunner at the moment. They are simple, yet sophisticated. They look beautiful folded or with a napkin ring. A wide array of colors and materials make these napkins timeless. We are crazy about ’em!

We here at Fabric Textile Products, Inc. decided to launch our own line of them and are pleased to share them with you. Introducing The Duchess Collection…
